DP World, a Somaliland logistics solutions company, has extended COVID-19 support to the government and health officials in the country.
The firm offered a donation of medical supplies to the Horn of Africa nation to help in testing, coping with, and curbing the spread of the pandemic in the country.
DP World has said the medical supplies should arrive at its offices in Berbera, where the company has also put up am economic zone.
The National Committee for Preparedness and Prevention of COVID-19 is expected in DP’ World’s Berbera offices to receive the medical supplies.
DP World’s donation includes ventilators and intubation kits. It will also be donating several Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needed by doctors, nurses, and all emergency staff.
Part of the consignment also includes medical masks, protective gloves, gowns, and face masks. DP World sourced the supplies from various countries, which include United Arab Emirates.
