Soldiers from the Galmudug forces raided a local media station on Wednesday, February 2.
According to sources, the soldiers raided the offices of Sooyal station.
Sooyal runs a radio and TV station.
A report from the Somali Media Association (SOMA) and the Somali Journalists Syndicate (SJS) shows that Darwish police officers conducted the raid.
The raid took place in Abudwak, a town in Galmudug region.
As per the report by SOMA and SJS, the officers beat and detained Mahad Bashir Osman, a director of the media station.
Apparently, personnel from the media station had interviewed police officers who were on strike last Sunday over unpaid salaries.
