The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has announced plans to prioritize the protection and promotion of human rights in the country.
Khadija M. Diriye, the Minister of Women and Human Rights Development, confirmed this on Sunday.
She spoke while inaugurating the human rights coordination office in Mogadishu.
Diriye announced that the office would be for the department within the ministry that would advocate for the protection and promotion of human rights throughout the country.
