Somaliland’s health officials have begun fumigating and disinfecting Hargeisa Public Hospital to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
According to the health officials, the institution deserves this exercise to ensure that it does not put the lives of patients at risk when they seek treatment at the facility.
Several health experts and officials oversaw the exercise, which has been organized by the Local Horn of Africa Youth Committee (HAVAYOCO).
Abdilahi Hassan, the Director General of HAVAYOCO, attended the event in the presence of Mohamed Ali Bile, the Director General of the Somaliland Presidential Palace.
Others who were at the launch of the exercise included Dr. Mahdi Osman Buri, the Assistant Minister of Health, and Dr. Mohamed Abdi Hergeye, the Director General in the health ministry.
