A man registered with Jubbaland’s Ministry of Education as a schoolteacher has been arrested over possible links with terror groups in the region.
Mohamed Abdirahman Bashir was arrested on Monday October 5 in Jubbaland.
According to authorities in the region, Bashir confessed to taking part in 12 terror attacks in Jubbaland.
He was among three people who regional intelligence officers arrested for links with terror networks in the city.
Bashir and his colleagues are expected in court soon to answer to charges of participating in terrorism and being part of a terror group.
