NISA Destroys Al-Shabaab Training Sites in Middle Jubba

MOGADISHUNISA has announced the dismantling of a significant logistical and operational hub in the region following a joint operation with international security partners.

According to a statement released by the agency, the targeted strike focused on Arabow village, located near the militants’ stronghold of .

Targeting Infrastructure

NISA reported that the operation successfully destroyed key facilities used for planning and supporting insurgent activities. The destroyed infrastructure included:

  • Local political and administrative offices.

  • An improvised explosive device (IED) assembly facility.

  • Media offices associated with Al-Kataib, ‘s propaganda arm.

  • A training camp and a residential compound housing senior instructors.

Casualties and Impact

The agency confirmed that eight Al-Shabaab fighters were killed during the operation. Security officials stated that the action has substantially diminished the group’s capacity to recruit, train, and coordinate fighters in Middle Jubba, an area frequently utilized by militants as a base for operations.
