President Musa Bihi Abdi provided updates on the progress of the COVID-19 interventions that his government has made.
While addressing the country, President Bihi advised the people of Somaliland to continue observing the measures that the Ministry of Health has recommended.
He also urged his compatriots to stick to the guidelines that the COVID-19 Committee has put in place with the help of health experts in the country and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Bihi was speaking while addressing members of the press at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health.
Additionally, he advised his fellow citizens to continue exercising maximum restraint to help stop the virulent disease from spreading around the country rapidly.
He reminded the country of the toll that the disease has exerted on Somaliland. COVID-19 has killed many people and left more sick, quarantined, or in isolation.
The President was also quick to issue a message of hope when he said that the country’s testing laboratory and equipment would be up and running in the next few days.
