LOWER SHABELLE — The Somali National Army (SNA), operating in close collaboration with Ugandan peacekeepers, successfully repelled a major Al-Shabaab offensive targeting the strategic town of Mubarak in the Lower Shabelle region.

According to official military reports, the fierce combat resulted in the deaths of over 40 Al-Shabaab fighters. Numerous other militants sustained severe injuries and were forced to retreat following the failed assault.
