Abdiqani Mohamed Wa’ays, Somalia’s Ambassador to Egypt and the Arab League, has died of COVID-19 in Kuwait.
Officials announced news of his death on Sunday.
While confirming his death, Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire said, “I send my deepest condolences to the people of Somalia for the demise of Ambassador Wa’ays.”
The Prime Minister said the country would remember Ambassador Wa’ays for his dedication in serving and representing his nation.
