MOGADISHU — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, recently held high-level talks with the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires to Somalia, Justin Davis.
Enhancing Security and Diplomacy
The strategic discussions, which took place in the capital, focused heavily on enhancing bilateral security collaboration, advancing political dialogue, and ensuring robust diplomatic alignment between Mogadishu and Washington.
During the diplomatic engagement, Somali officials emphasized that the Federal Government considers the United States to be a crucial and vital ally. The dialogue reaffirmed Washington’s enduring role in supporting Mogadishu’s ongoing efforts to promote regional peace, ensure long-term stability, and drive essential institutional development across the country.
