Somalia has recorded 115 new cases of COVID-19.
The new cases were from 1,209 samples that officials from the Ministry of Health tested in the last 24 hours.
Puntland led with 62 cases. Somaliland had 38 while Banadir and Jubaland confirmed 11 and three cases respectively.
According to the health ministry’s updates on September 6, only one case was confirmed in Southwest.
Furthermore, 63 patients recovered from the deadly disease while three people lost their lives.
As of Monday this week, Somalia now has 17,947 cases of COVID-19 and 8,798 recoveries. In the same vein, the country has now recorded 1,005 deaths.
