Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) of the United Nations James Swan held talks on stabilization with one of the country’s special envoys.
Swan held these talks with Omar Hashi, the Special Presidential Envoy for Stabilization and Civilian Protection, on Wednesday.
Specifically, their discussions centered on the integrated approach that the Somali government and its international partners have taken to stabilization.
The integrated approach involves aspects such as provision of local administration and improved security.
It entails ensuring that Somalis in the areas recently liberated from Al-Shabaab and other terrorists are able to access social services promptly too.
