Abdirahman Abdishakur, the leader of opposition Wadajir Party, met with a former President of Puntland to discuss Somalia’s upcoming elections.
The meeting between the two took place on Sunday, October 4.
Abdishakur confirmed that his meeting with Dr. Abdiweli Ali Gaas, who is an ex-President of Puntland and an ex-Prime Minister in the Somali Transitional Government (STG), was fruitful.
Primarily, the upcoming polls were the focus of their discussions.
Abdishakur stated that he holds similar views with those of Dr. Gaas on the electoral process and the outcome of the elections.
